"Scavenger", chapter 1-3

Leroux is a supersized dystopian city where all your wildest dreams and nightmares can be made real. That being said: this story, unlike my other games, is a bit darker. Scavenger tells the tale of what happens to individuals who find themselves too deeply entrenched in the muck and mire that Leroux offers.
Chapter 1 is an extreme horror short story. I drew inspirations from films like "Bouquet of Guts and Gore", "Hostel", and "Audition". If you do not like horror, particularly extreme horror, I HEAVILY discourage you from playing this, or skipping this chapter. It's not entirely necessary to understanding the rest of the story.

Chapter 1 TW: violence, sexual violence, graphic depictions of gore.
(Disclaimer, though: all gore images in this game are from pre-existing horror movies. There are no images of real blood or gore in this game!)
Chapter 2 takes us on a slightly different adventure with our friend Crom, who's trying to entertain himself out on the main streets of Leroux. In a city impossibly big and impossibly dense, it should be easy to feel thrilled, but something's missing in Crom that he's going to try again and again to find...
While this one lacks in the violence and guts and gore from the first Scavenger game, this does feature detailed consensual non-consent, so if you find that to be uncomfortable then don't play it! Otherwise, it's a pretty light chapter in the story.
Music is almost all by Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio, other than "Mysterious Band at Rester House" by slowerpace 音楽.
Chapter 2 TW: Consensual non-consent, not much else.
CHAPTER 3 of Scavenger, early release for patron! This chapter features Crom and Elisha as they scour the streets of Leroux looking for the missing businessman. Crom gets lost and learns a lot about himself...
This chapter not only features new sprites by the lovely AeriaQuies, but also TWO (2) full illustrations of some...scenes of vulgar nature taking place ;3
Chapter 3's music is, once again, almost all Karl Casey @ White Bat Audio, with some music by slowerpace 音楽 and Весна 310.

Love the writing, love how ballsy the first chapter was, love the crack fic vibes. The dialogue is very natural and ya got a great choice in sound design and the visuals/sprites are very cute too.
My one big complaint is the itch page. I'd rather have a comprehensive list of trigger warnings to expect throughout the whole VN instead of chapter summaries, so that the narrative can surprise me rather than advertising "chpt2 won't have x or y", which can take away some of the suspense.
I'm also curious what genres will this cover? Namely if it'll have romance as a plot or subplot, and if so, will there be routes or will it be kinetic? Will it be m/m? mono or poly? I get some of this might be spoilers but usually that kinda stuff's advertised from the start. Alsoooo I can't find the patreon link!

I think that's a very good point about the warnings on the itch page tho! i need to fix that, don't wanna give too much away.
Also I will say...next chapter is actually the final planned chapter for this game before I move to my other larger visual novel project, Lavender County, which is a gay southern furry dating sim! I'm not hanging Scavenger up forever, i dont think? but it's kinda my introductory attempt at working on visual novels so i hope it doesn't disappoint that i dont have much planned left for this! but there will be a little bit of romance in it~ as well as possibly more horror!
Very interested in seeing where this goes. My one piece of constructive criticism would be that the transition between POVs is very abrupt and disorienting.

is it supposed to end like that?? my game freezes right after (spoilers) the fox wakes up and screams, which is honestly so, SO eerie if its intentional but it looks like there's meant to be more in the game data.
That's interesting. You're the only person so far that's reported having that problem. Did it ever fix itself up or is your still freezing there?
